Today, @Mathieulh released PSGroove, and open source version of the PSJailbreak. Now users can create their own PSJailbreaks at home, assuming you have the right hardware. @Mathieulh mention that an AT90USBKEY or Teensy board is compatible with this jailbreak, but there are already talks/plans to port this software to run off a PSP or even an iPhone/iPod.

PSJailbreak officially cloned/hacked/dumped for users

@Mathieulh just posted on twitter that they’ve successfully cloned the PSJailbreak for. This means more headaches for Sony, and a better solution for us.

Someone from our group just successfully cloned the psjailbreak dongle. Going to improve the shell code soon.

He later posted this

@devinger The exploit will be documented on the ps3wiki as soon as possible (we need to write up the whole article, will take a bit)

PSJailbreak Reverse Engineered!

Today, GameFreax has announced that they have successfully managed to reverse engineer the PSJailbreak. What does this mean to the average joe? this means that we are one step closer to getting a free version of the PSJailbreak for our own USB keys. They report that the exploit used is a really rather unique exploit. See here for further information.
